Let’s help send our youth to the National Youth Gathering in Houston this July!

Join us before the service this Sunday, April 17 for our annual Easter breakfast. Starting at 9:00, our youth will be serving a breakfast of eggs, bacon, cinnamon rolls, and fruit. No tickets are required, but your generous donations are appreciated as they raise funds for their trip to the National Youth Gathering. We’re thankful to Thrivent Financial for a community action grant to help with the costs of the breakfast.

Consider making a donation via  our envelope wall fundraiser!  We would love to have every envelope filled by Easter Sunday  (empty envelope wall on the day we celebrate the empty tomb!) Simply choose an envelope and give the corresponding amount (in dollars $$$) marked on the envelope. Fill your envelope and drop in the box! There are literally a hundred ways to give. No donation is too small! Questions? Contact Jen Axt by email: [email protected] or phone: (308) 631-7065.  Thank you for supporting our youth!

Let the youth egg your house! Back by popular demand!  Easter is ONLY 3 weeks away.  Send some Easter love to friends, family, grandchildren, neighbors, children whose house we can “egg.”  You will find candy filled eggs in your yard Easter morning! We will leave a personalized message on the door.  Proceeds will help send The Rock Youth to the LCMS National Youth Gathering in July!

On the evening of April 16, 2022, our stealthy youth will come to your home (or the home of a friend/family/neighbor) and hide 12 Easter eggs in the yard. There will be 11 candy-filled eggs and 1 empty egg as a reminder of the empty tomb! $15 per dozen eggs, $25 for 2 dozen, $35 for 3 dozen, $45 for 4 dozen, $55 for 5 dozen.

Please contact Jen Axt (308) 631-7065 by text/phone or by email: [email protected] with questions. We accept payment by cash, check, or Venmo (@Jen-Axt) by April 15, 2021. Fill in your order at this link.

Men’s breakfasts are back from now until April 16. Breakfast starts at 7:00 a.m. in the Rock Cafe, and the study will be about aligning our priorities with God’s Word.

Moms and Muffins: Monday mornings in April from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Rocker Room (on the third floor). Join the group for coffee, muffins, and conversation. Children are welcome! (April 18 and 25)

Join us for a Spring Clean Up on April 30 from 10-2! We ask people to bring their own cleaning supplies (vacuums, towels, sprays, garden tools) so we can tidy up the facility. We’ll pay special attention to the Rocker Room and the Stepping Stones classrooms. Students in need of community service hours, come help!

Our April item for the Blue Valley food pantry is paper towels. The collection box is in the Rock Cafe. Thanks for being a blessing to the community in this way! You can see our Blue Valley Pantry item schedule on our website

Blue Valley is also currently in need of boxed meals, pasta, and instant potato items.

You can also make a donation that is shared between the whole group.   Click here to make a donation online that is shared with the whole group (Yes! • Join us on Sunday for the start of a new sermon series: In Search of the Perfect You. We’re always striving to make ourselves better–and that can be a good thing–but in the end there is always failure. Weight comes back, bodies fail, minds fail, jobs end. We all meet the same ultimate fate so putting all your efforts into finding the “perfect you” here on earth will lead to disappointment. So how do we focus on the perfect version of ourselves that God has planned for us? We start this Sunday with “We’re Focusing on the Wrong Body.”

  • This Saturday! Spring Clean Up Day at The Rock: The Rock needs a little spring cleaning.  Please join us on Saturday morning, May 12 from 9 a.m. to noon at The Rock for some indoor and outdoor cleanup.  Inside we will be washing windows, moving chairs and (if there is enough help) starting to disassemble the lockers on the lower level. Outside we’ll be raking, trimming, pruning, digging and planting. If you have them, bring your rakes, hedge trimmers, pruners, shovels, step-ladders, hammers, pry-bars and gloves. Also, we are in need of a couple of roto-tillers to use that morning. Come for the whole time or just come when you can. The more volunteers we have the quicker it will all go.  In case of rain, we’ll cancel and try again on May 19. Thanks! (High school students can bring their community service hours log and get some credit for their help!)

  • The Juniors godparents group will have a garage sale May 25th (from 1-8) and 26th (from 8-3) at 1150 Plainview Ave. All funds raised will be donated to World Vision to purchase Bibles and life saving medical supplies. They will also have a free will donation bake sale. Stop by when you’re out for the Seward community garage sale. Questions? Contact Jacquelyn or Matthew Schranz.

  • Our Blue Valley Food Pantry item for May is Kleenex. Drop some off in the collection box in the cafe at any time during May. If you still have paper towels to give (our April item), you can bring those in as well. Thanks for your generosity!

  • Camp Luther in Schuyler needs counselors! They are looking for two more male camp counselors for this summer, and one more female counselor. The main requirements are: be a college student or high school graduate, and be excited to share the good news of Jesus with campers of all ages. Anyone who is interested should call Aaron Wendorff (Youth Ministries Director) at 402-352-5655 or 507-7662165 or email him at: [email protected]
Camp Luther of Nebraska has some incredible activities planned this summer and registration is still open. Families can register their kids today at www.campluther.org/summer.

  • Our current sermon series is based on God’s Word, along with “Little Visits with God,” the devotional resource for families that Concordia Publishing House put out long ago.  There have been numerous editions and volumes published over the years. Join us and be encouraged as families and individuals to set aside a time every week and day, to engage face-to-face with God’s Word and recognize the benefits and blessings in this spiritual discipline.

This week, we’ll learn about the Holy Spirit and how Jesus invites us into a relationship that demonstrates itself in loving obedience to what He says and does, with Him as our example and supplier of the power to do it.
