Rock News

We have an opportunity to bless Rev. Rich and Diana Boring with some meals starting this Saturday as she recovers from surgery. Rich and Diana have a number of dietary restrictions (no carbs: no rice, bread, potatoes, pasta) so they stick to basic meat and veggies. (and Valentino’s gluten free hamburger pizza!) If you’re interested in signing up, the link for the Meal Train is here: https://mealtrain.com/2ve3y5

If you or someone in your family is in need of assistance like this during a time of illness or grief, please contact us at [email protected] so our community can be a blessing to you. Would you like to be visited in the hospital or have pastor visit a loved one? Contact Pastor Mike at [email protected] so he knows where and when to visit.

Please pray for the Guatemala mission team as they prepare to leave for their trip. Pray for: safe travel and good health for the team; that the people they visit with would have open hearts to hear the Gospel; and that the team would have many opportunities to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Ministry gift from St. John Lutheran Church: At their October meeting, The Rock’s Directors learned the welcome news of a $7,000 gift received from St. John Lutheran church. The gift, given from St. John Foundation funds, was designated to assist The Rock with construction costs for the Blue Valley Community Action project.  The gift has already been applied to construction bills associated with readying the building for Blue Valley’s occupancy.  What a blessing! Our ministry is immensely blessed by our sincere and meaningful partnership with St. John Lutheran Church, School and Child Development Center in Seward.  Thanks be to God!

YogaFaith News:  Join Erika Rolf (RYT-200) or Sara Moll (RYT-200) for Christian YogaFaith classes at The Rock!

Join us for a very twisty Thanksgiving class on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 8:00-9:00 am.  Our Flow and Go classes are normally only 45 minutes long but following Thanksgiving we thought it would be appropriate to offer a class that focuses on twists following an often indulgent celebration. No class on Thanksgiving day!

Calling all CUNE students!  We are teaching at Janzow Campus Center. If you are a Concordia College student we are excited to invite you and your friends to our new on campus class!  Tuesday Tune Up with YogaFaith-Seward will take place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month in the Cattle Conference Room in Janzow.  Join Sara Moll (RYT-200) and Erika Rolf (RYT-200) for a Christian Yoga class focused on stretching, strengthening and meditating on God’s Word.  Class starts at 3:45 and ends at 4:30 pm.  Class size is limited to 15.  Everyone is welcome – just bring a mat (if you don’t have one we will have some extras).  ONLY 1 CLASS in November.  Erika will teach a class on Nov. 9th.  This class will be a “free will donation” class.
