What to Expect
Checking out a church for the first time can be intimidating or confusing. It’s our goal to make your experience at The Rock as easy and hassle-free as possible. Keep reading below to find helpful information about where to park, what the worship experience is like, and how to get connected.
The Rock Lutheran Church is located off of Highway 34 at 237 South 3rd Street. We worship on the third floor of our historic Seward Middle School building. We have an elevator on the south side of the building for those who would rather not use the stairs.
You might call our style of worship at The Rock as “modern” or “contemporary”.
Looking for a “traditional” church? Check out our sister church and partners in ministry, St. John Lutheran.
You’ll find a range of styles of clothing at The Rock. Come ready to receive from the Lord, in whatever style.
We have parking available in our south parking lot, but sometimes it does fill up. You are welcome to park on the street or in the neighborhood that surrounds The Rock.

Yes, we have Stepping Stones for kids on Wednesday nights. We also have coloring pages and crayons available for children to use on Sunday mornings during worship. Children’s messages are often a part of worship.
Yes, we have Confirmation on Wednesday nights and Godparents Group opportunities for students.
