Cornerstone

For students entering 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Confirming the faith given at your baptism!

When: Wednesday Nights, 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. during the school year

Where: The Rock, Level 2

What should I bring?: Bring a Bible! 7th and 8th graders need to bring their Luther’s Small Catechism.

Cornerstone is an opportunity for students to dig deep in the Word of God. They are also taught the foundations of the Christian faith.

The focus for 5th and 6th graders is learning how to navigate, read, digest, and apply the Bible to their daily lives.

In addition to being saturated in God’s Word, the focus for 7th and 8th graders in Cornerstone is what we call “Confirmation.” This is preparing the students to say, “This Christian faith is my own.” This leads up to the Confirmation service in the Spring of their 8th grade year, where students who would like to become members at The Rock, make a public confession of their faith.

Come to learn about Jesus’ great love, dig deep into scripture, have fun with friends, and build foundations of the faith to last a lifetime.
